I voted today! Voting is always a highlight of my year since I'm that kind of political nerd.
If you're in Sangamon county you can vote early from now until November 3 at the election office in the County Building, 200 S. Ninth, Room 105, Springfield. Hours are:
Monday through Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 27th; 8:30 a.m. - noon
Saturday, November 3rd; 8:30 a.m. - noon.
There's also an early voting location with limited hours set up at the UIS campus, but it's only for those who live in the campus precinct, Capital 14.
One extra benefit of voting early is that you may get fewer political calls. The better organized campaigns will check to see who already voted and not waste their time contacting them on election day.
