The first Congressional debate between David Gill and Rodney Davis happens tonight at 6:30pm. It will be broadcast on C-Span and on Cities 92.9 radio.
I'll tweet during the debate and drop a blog afterward. I'm a little concerned that the moderator is program director for a conservative talk radio station, and one of the sponsors is the McLean County Chamber of Commerce. The Springfield Chamber of Commerce is one of only two groups hosting the next debate in Springfield. The US Chamber of Commerce endorsed Rodney Davis and has already spent half a million for him in the district.
Usually, major debates are done by unbiased groups, but maybe one of the candidates rejected invitations to those debates. I'll be interested to see how much the Chamber's strong conservative bias influences the questions.
