One of Governor Pat Quinn's favorite populist lines to repeat in speeches is "nobody out, everybody in." Here's what that looks like after a week of anti-fracking sit-ins outside his office in the Illinois capitol building.
The entire area leading to the Governor's office is now roped off and guarded. When it comes to fracking, Quinn's new practice is apparently, "citizens out, industry lobbyists in."
Update: The sit-in now continues outside the Governor's office! Citizens are still asking for a meeting after Quinn's team of lobbyists spent months negotiating in private.
